Creative Arts & Worship

CP Creative at Christ’s Place is led by Michael King, Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts.

CP Creative is a community of musicians, singers, dramatic people, technical types and creative producers who are committed to connecting people with each other and to God through a God-centered worship environment.

If you are interested in becoming involved in CP CREATIVE or for more information, please fill out the form below.

Choir

The choir is a significant part of our worship leading team and meets on Monday nights at 7 PM.  In the choir you will find awesome relationships and great ministry opportunities. No audition is required to be in the choir. In addition to being a part of worship on the weekends, the choir also performs special music monthly. If you’d like to join the choir, simply show up on Monday night!

Vocalists

Worship Leaders and vocalists are all connected to the choir. If you desire to be a worship leader at Christ’s Place, make sure you get connected to the choir. It’s a great place to start and to get connected with our church!

Musicians

Our musicians are a great bunch of men and women. We have opportunities to be involved anywhere from guitar to drums to piano and beyond. All of our musicians are auditioned. This gives us a great idea of how we can get you connected best. If you are interested, please email us at creativearts@cplace.org and we will have a section leader contact you.

SOUND AND LIGHTING

This team includes both technical and musical people who touch everything that is seen and heard in a service. We welcome new volunteers who would love to serve in this area. For more information, contact our Technical Coordinator, Darcy Ramsey.

If you would like to volunteer, please head on over to the Volunteer section to fill out an application.

TV AND VIDEO

This awesome team is responsible for operating cameras, video capture of each service, as well as producing creative video spots that are used in our services. Those working in the TV/Video area of the church have the great opportunity to not only serve the church, but also learn how to operate video and editing equipment and become proficient in the whole area of production. Both experienced professionals and beginners are welcome! For more information, contact our Video Coordinator, Josh Lorimer.

If you would like to volunteer, please head on over to the Volunteer section to fill out an application.

We are always looking for more people who are great with dramatics arts, great with loving Jesus and great with people. If you would like to be involved, please contact Pastor Mike.

The kid’s area is incredible! When I picked my son up afterwards, the first words out of his mouth were, “Can we come back here again, mom?” I am so glad he liked it because he is my main push to start attending church again.” (First time guest)

I had a great experience last week, and found the sermon easy to understand and engaging. The environment is friendly and open, and the music is amazing. (First time guest)

At Christ’s Place the pastor is passionate about preaching the truth in a way that connects and is relevant! (Second time guest)
